About Water Bug

Water Bug Infant Swimming began because I, (Caitlin Haskett) was moving into a different phase of my life. I spent the decade of my twenties teaching, nannying, and working with children. I even founded a nonprofit with two other friends, More Than Conquerors, and provided free after-school care and a summer camp for almost nine years in the South Madison County area. In 2023 I was leaving the phase of life where I was taking care of others' kids and entering a phase of being a mother myself.

I was on the swim team throughout childhood, and had always loved the water. Owning a pool was something that my husband and I made happen as quickly as we could. Even before having a family or learning about ISR (Infant Swim Resource), I had a resolution that my kids were going to skip the floaties and go straight to swimming on their own, my little water bugs. Upon doing research and learning about ISR, I was blown away by the science, intense care, and methodology of teaching. It was an organization I wanted to get involved in and provide a life-saving service to our community. So, here we are now!

(And shout out to my pool manager and first water bugs -

Mr. Joshua Haskett, Marigold Haskett, and Moses Haskett :) )
